March – Let’s read and craft!

Hello and happy March ! Not sure about you, but I’m hoping March is better than February was. Based on the holidays in March it looks like it’s shaping up to be one of my favorites as for as holidays, celebrations and events. March is National Craft Month, National Caffine Awareness Month, National Umbrella Month and the first full Week of March is Read an E-book Week. Dr. Seuss’s Birthday is March 2nd, also Celebrated on the 2nd is National Read Across America Day, followed by National Day of unplugging on the 3rd and to follow the reading trend is National Tolkien Reading Day on the 25th.

What type of crafts do you do? Journaling is my current easy craft of choise, as iswriting; but I have done sewing and glass etching and dabbled in minor scrapbooking. Crafting in any form is proven to have multiple health benefits, including stress relief. For more about this visit National Day Calender for history and full details on how to celebreate.

This month also celebreates St. Patricks day and our local fairgrounds host the annual Celtic Faire; where vendors sell thier celtic inspired wares, there is jousting and sword fights, and food. All I can say is that it is one of my favorite events.

So, will you celebrate March with a Guinness in hand and a few good books, and dig out your craft supplies and get to making something? Also through the month there are many different days to celebrate different foods, you should check it out.

Happy Crafting!
