Thanksgiving has come and gone; black friday is done, and it’s Christmas season. Are you ready?
Its time to start writing those cards and I don’t know about you, but I am so not ready.
I remember my family getting Christmas cards, and even new year’s letters from friends and family when the holiday season arrived. We would display them on the section of brick wall above our fire place. It was fun to see all the different styles of cards we got and read the holiday messages inside.
I’ve been really bad these last few years about sending cards, but I have cards, I need to make my list and start checking it off. Next is writing the cards and mailing them… that is the challenge.
To keep track of this you really don’t need much, a page in your journal, a list and checkbox, maybe something a bit more if your doing gifts and cards. The big thing is make your list, keep it simple, and then get to work.
Do you have kids? Have you made Christmas Cards with them? It is a fun thing to do as a Family, and if you have friends and a family close by think about hand delivering the cards instead of mailing, it adds an extra special touch and makes the receiver feel extra special.
If you have to mail the cards, think about buying a few books of the forever stamps, it’s what I do. These last, and if you buy in bulk you save a little as the price of postage stamps seems to go up each year.
Have you started your Christmas cards yet?
